Stars Shine In New Headquarters.
There’s an old adage that says “Don’t judge a book by its cover” …
Walking into the offices of Stars Behavioral Health Group [SBHG], it would be easy to make the assumption that their business serves only local needs based on its location. However, sitting down to talk with Mary Jane Gross, RN, MN and President, I quickly learned that there are many pages to this book called SBHG and that their reach is far and wide throughout our state touching children, families and adults who face considerable challenges.
Stars Behavioral Health Group offers a full continuum of mental health services that reflect clinical excellence and continuous quality improvements to maintain an unconditional commitment to assisting clients with mental illness to achieve and maintain their optimum level of functioning and quality of life. SBHG operates acute and sub-acute inpatient and outpatient treatment programs including residential and day treatment, special education non-public schools, community and home based mental health programs throughout the state. They provide services through contracts with county mental health, child welfare, and juvenile justice departments, as well as with public school districts.
Previously located near Airport Corporate Centre, Stars Behavioral Health Group has long admired our building for its location, amenities and overall feel. “We love the building,” Mary Jane Gross said. “The staff is responsive and helpful and the building is clean and well maintained. The Fitness Center is fabulous! To have these amenities is important to our staff … it keeps them engaged and productive.”
Occupying 3,778 rentable square feet on the 10th floor, Stars Behavioral Health Group Corporate Office operates and oversees more than 50 specialized public mental health programs and a wide array of community-based support services in five geographically significant counties in California.
Employing more than 1,000 behavioral health workers including psychiatrists, psychologists and medical doctors, social workers, nurses, rehab therapists, counselors, teachers, aides and a range of professional staff, Stars Behavioral Health Group touches thousands of children, families and adults who might otherwise go un-served.
We appreciate Mary Jane and the entire SBHG staff, and thank them for being our customers. Learn more about Stars Behavioral Health Group on the web at www.starsinc.com.
