Explaining The Move In Process
Once you’ve decided to make a move to a new location, the goal is to remain focused on your business while you work through the details of getting in and settled in your new space … and it should be! TEAM Cranbrook works hard to provide a solid “move in” solution so you can focus on running and growing your business while we focus on the “space” and the “place”.
Here are the steps NEW Customers go through when moving into a typical office space within TEAM Cranbrook’s portfolio of properties.
1. Provide Landlord with correct Certificate of Insurance, referred to as a COI, (per requirements stated in lease);
2. Complete necessary property forms and return to Landlord. Depending on the location, there may be up to five (5) forms: Tenant Vehicle List, After Hours List, Emergency Contact Form, a Signage Request Form and a Tenant Liaison Authorization Form. These forms are provided in PDF format and are easy to complete;
3. Contact phone vendor and establish new phone/fax numbers (if applicable);
4. Contact phone vendor for installation of phone/data cable and provide Landlord with vendor’s Certificate of Insurance (COI). If the Tenant will be using an existing cable in the suite, a phone vendor still needs to be contacted to test cables;
5. Contact furniture company to purchase new furniture (if applicable). If furniture company is delivering furniture, a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is required;
6. Contact moving company, provide Landlord with vendor’s Certificate of Insurance (COI) and schedule move in date with Landlord;
7. Order new stationary for new location (business cards, letterhead, etc); and
8. Order additional keys from Landlord for employees (if applicable – per the lease, Cranbrook Group, Inc. provides 2 keys).
