Cranbrook Supports The Salvation Army

Each holiday season, and dressed in the classic red Salvation Army apron, Cranbrook's CEO, Jim Devenport rings the familiar bell that invites people to help support those less fortunate.

With the slowdown in the economy and general uncertainty of the marketplace, we are especially thankful for our more than 450+ tenants that span our property portfolio of more than 2.5 million square feet of office, industrial and flex properties in the East Bay and Central Valley.

In years past at this time of year, our property team would be busy putting the finishing touches on what would normally be our upcoming holiday event for many of our full-service office tenants.  This year, and with the support of our tenants, we are choosing to focus on those less fortunate and in great need by giving a generous corporate donation to support the work of The Salvation Army.

There are many non-profit organizations that serve their communities well, and The Salvation Army is no exception.  Their ability to reach out to the hurting in real and practical ways is something that is welcomed year round but has even more significance during the holidays.

Jim Devenport, Cranbrook Group, Inc.'s CEO, serves on the board of The Salvation Army and has seen, firsthand how their pledge, "Doing The Most Good" meets the needs of hurting people in communities all across our nation.
